Alix: [00:00:00] Hey everyone, it's Alix with two updates for you this week. The first, we are taking a little summer break. I recently moved back to London, and I'm trying to lean into a European summer. Um, but we are gonna be back on your feed on August 22nd. The second thing is that we have something cooking that I'm excited to share a little bit about.

It's still in development, but I wanna share a little preview of what's ahead. If you're listening to this, you are likely interested in technology politics, probably worried about where things are headed, and interested in learning more about what we can do together to prevent the worst outcomes and ideally bring about the best ones.

You also probably know that this podcast is more than just a simple interview show. It's about creating more visibility and connection around the people, ideas, and conversations shaping the future of tech politics. Each week, I feel really lucky to be in conversation with people doing incredible work, and to share those conversations with listeners all around the world.[00:01:00]

But lately, I've been thinking more about what happens after those conversations end. We hear from listeners all the time who finish an episode with new ideas, questions, and connections they want to explore. We've seen the same things at the events we organize. There's this magical moment where shared learning and connection are right on the cusp of building something, but then the event ends, everyone goes home, the episode ends, and too often that energy has nowhere to go.

So that's the gap we want to help fill. A place where people can see into other areas where tech is impacting people's lives, learn from each other, find co-conspirators, and convert conversations into schemes. So I'm really excited to share that we're gearing up to launch a pilot membership community this fall for people who want to go deeper with the experts and also with each other.

For those who don't just want to listen to our guests on the pod, but talk to them in exclusive AMAs. Who don't just want to hear other people talk about problems, but to find others that can work together [00:02:00] to solve them. You know that feeling you get at the end of an episode where you've built up this understanding and an activation, but you don't know where to put it?

Our hope is that being a part of the Maybe community becomes the next step. It's still a work in progress, but since we're building this for you, we want to make sure it's shaped by you.
